وصايا الله العشرة

Du skall inga andra gudar ha vid sidan av mig.

I am the Lord your God: you shall not have strange gods before me.

أنا هو الرب إلهك، لا يكن لك إله غيري

Du skall inte missbruka Herren, din Guds, namn, ty Herren skall inte låta den bli ostraffad, som missbrukar hans namn.

You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.

لا تحلف باسم الله بالباطل

Tänk på sabbaten så att du helgar den.

Remember to keep holy the Lord’s day.

احفظ يوم الرب

Hedra din fader och din moder, för att du må leva länge i det land som Herren, din Gud, vill ge dig.

Honour your father and your mother.

اكرم اباك وامك

Du skall icke dräpa.

You shall not kill.

لا تقتل

Du skall inte begå äktenskapsbrott.

You shall not commit adultery.

لا تزن

Du skall inte stjäla.

You shall not steal.

لا تسرق

Du skall inte bära falskt vittnesbörd mot din nästa.

You shall not bear false witness against your neighbour.

لا تشهد بالزور

Du skall inte ha begär till din nästas hus.

You shall not covet your neighbour’s wife.

لا تشته امرأة قريبك

Du skall inte ha begär till din nästas hustru eller hans slav eller...

You shall not covet your neighbour’s goods.
